The basic game uses the symbols A, J, K and Q (as in Ace, Jack, King and Queen in a standard pack of cards) as its lower value pieces and features those famous Robin Hood characters, the giant ‘Little John’, virtuous (and gluttonous) ‘Friar Tick, the evil genius ‘The Sheriff of Nottingham’ and the foxy love interest ‘Maid Marion’, as its high value symbols. The other symbols that likes to from time to time is the sheaf of arrows, which is our wild symbol and the target which acts as a scatter.
Play Robin of Sherwood Bonus Features
As with many games of this ilk, ‘Robin of Sherwood’, although not jam packed with complicated bonus features, does have some nice little bonuses, hence the 234 paylines it provides.
The first of these bonuses is the ‘Wild Turning’ bonus, which can randomly occur during the base game or during additional free spin rounds and when it triggers all the royal symbols of J, Q, K and A already featuring on one or more reels will turn into wild symbols. Obviously, it is deducible from the previous description that there is also a ‘Free Spins’ feature and this is triggered by achieving three or more of the target scatter symbols anywhere on your five reels. Once this achievement is completed, you’ll receive ten free spins, although they cannot be retriggered during the round you are playing.
The ‘Royal Clearing, bonus only happens during your free spins and works in the way that, on every second spin, the lowest value symbol you have will be removed from the reels. Therefore by the end of the turn, with a bit of luck all of your low value symbols (J, Q, K and A) will all be gone, leaving only high value characters and making it easier to achieve much bigger wins. Then finally there is the ‘Gamble Feature’ which enables you to gamble all of your wins by pressing the ‘Gamble’ button that is situated below the reels. You can double your money here if you are lucky, by selecting either the green or red target for Robin to hit. You can enjoy up to five successive wins, but one wrong guess and you will lose it all.
